About My Clients
I understand that reaching out for therapy can be a big and intimidating step, especially when your family, friends, school, job, and random stranger may not support your identity or experiences. I want you to know that you are not alone, and I am here to provide you with support, validation, and the guidance you are looking for.
My Background and Approach
As a neurodivergent and non-binary individual, I recognize the need for a space that is affirming. I am committed to exploring your unique experiences, challenges, and strengths that make you who you are while exploring who would like to become. Even though our communities may not provide affirming spaces I am committed to creating a space for you to show up authentically, without fear of judgment. You can expect to feel validated, respected, and empowered while we work together. I provide an affirming space for LGBTQIA+ community members, and for the people in their lives. Many of my clients have experienced a range of emotions and frustrations – defeat, grief, anxiety, depression, and transitioning with little to no support. Using creative, art-based interventions I act as a guide for my clients on their journey and work toward healing from the circumstance which lead them to me.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an art therapist, I believe in the power of creativity and self-expression. Art therapy can sound intimidating, but no art skills are required, just the openness and desire to understand yourself better, and create positive change in your life. Creating something from nothings offers a way to honor and transform your story and find your meaning.
