About My Clients
The clients I best serve are children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, mood symptoms, trauma, or adjustment challenges related to family conflict, school stress, identity concerns, or life transitions. They may feel overwhelmed or misunderstood and seek a supportive space to build insight and effective coping skills. Their goals include reducing emotional distress, improving regulation, strengthening relationships, and building confidence and resilience to function in daily life.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed psychologist with specialized training in the treatment of anxiety, mood, trauma, and adjustment-related concerns across the lifespan. My background includes work in child, adolescent, and adult settings, including inpatient psychiatry, pediatric medical environments, and university-based anxiety programs. I have extensive experience treating childhood anxiety, panic, depression, and selective mutism, and have led parent training and group therapy using the Unified Protocol for Emotional Disorders in Children. My approach is holistic and patient-centered, integrating cognitive-behavioral and humanistic therapies while honoring each individual’s strengths, culture, and life experiences. I collaborate closely with families when appropriate and focus on helping clients build insight, emotional regulation, resilience, and confidence.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I approach therapy with a growth-based mindset, helping clients who want to make meaningful changes in their lives. A central focus of my work is helping individuals identify their values and learn how to live in greater alignment with what matters most to them. Therapy is collaborative and client-centered, grounded in respect for each person’s background, experiences, and goals. I am Catholic and offer faith-based counseling for clients who desire to integrate their spiritual beliefs into therapy. This is always optional and guided by the client’s preferences. Clients of all belief systems are welcome, and therapy can remain fully secular. My goal is to support growth, clarity, and healing—whether grounded in personal values, faith, or both.
