About My Clients
I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds. I believe that people of all walks of life have the capacity to make changes that will lead to a place of stability.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland. I received my master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland. I have provided direct care in the school system, community non-profit, and crisis-residential setting. I combine different schools of psychotherapy to help address anxiety, depression, complex trauma, grief and loss, domestic violence, stress management, and attachment issues. I take a holistic systemic approach to help clients strive for a state of stability. I welcome you to take a seat as I actively listen to you with understanding and empathy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I grew up in the DC metro area and had the pleasure of attending a high school with over 3,000 classmates with culturally diverse backgrounds. In college I majored in psychology and sociology because I valued the similarities and differences in individuals and society as a whole. This led to a love of travel and cultures from all around the world. When addressing the emotional needs of my clients, I strongly take into account their culture of origin, gender identity, spirituality, and value system. Together, we can define your world, explore your concerns, and achieve a sense of self-acceptance.
