About My Clients
Are you a highly sensitive, creative person who’s holding it all together, but inside feels like you’re not enough, frustrated and worried all the time? Do you lie awake at night, obsessing and feeling stuck in toxic cycles? My clients tend to be people who have anxiety, depression and trauma who want a new approach to therapy, that goes beyond words. They're looking for someone to bring their natural wisdom to light, and guide them in seeking the answers that lie in their own subconscious mind.
My Background and Approach
As a therapist for 20 years, I've helped many people reconnect with a sense of inner playfulness and lightness. I foster trusting relationships so people feel safe as we forge new connections in their mind and body, see things from new perspectives, and create a life with more joy, flow and fulfillment. I use a variety of innovative approaches, engaging creative practices, mindfulness, and traditional verbal methods. I'm adoption-competent, experienced with addictions, and I am a provider of Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. Stress and inner turmoil is exhausting, and makes change seem impossible. But it doesn't have to be that way! Imagine waking up refreshed, confident, and ready for your day. Enjoying deeper connection with yourself and others as a more authentic version of you. This is absolutely within reach! Are you ready to let go of old patterns, step into your worthiness, and manifest the life you want? I'd love to help you get there. Call or email for a free consultation!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Working in psychiatry at Bellevue Hospital in NYC for 18 years, I've helped people with every imaginable mental health concern, from all possible backgrounds, identities, and life situations. One thing I know for sure: if you're struggling, that just means you're human. We all need help and healing at some point or another. I see it as a wonderful gift you give to yourself and your loved ones. I'm an adoption-competent therapist who is also adopted. I get what it's like to recover from adoption issues. I believe in respecting and amplifying adoptee voices. I'm very experienced with helping people with addiction issues. I'm familiar with both 12-step and "Smart" models, as well as medication assisted recovery. I believe that addiction is a disease of the brain that can be healed through the mind and needs a spiritual approach to balance that out. I recognize that spirituality means something different for everyone, and I support all types of spiritual practices and beliefs.
