About My Clients

Are you feeling stuck or overwhelmed? Do you often feel anxious but are unsure why? Or perhaps, the past feels too difficult to process? These feelings can be isolating and difficult to navigate. By working together, we can begin to better understand the roots of the emotions that keep you feeling so stuck and overwhelmed, and work to develop more security and confidence in yourself.

My Background and Approach

I hold dual degrees—an MSW from Rutgers University and an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary. My counseling experience includes working as an addiction counselor in Central New Jersey and a men’s trauma group therapist in South Jersey. After returning to the PNW, I transitioned to working with adolescents as a therapist at an eating disorder clinic and later as a school counselor. I have experience working with teens, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds on issues such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, low self-esteem, relational conflict, trauma, and life transitions. Whether your concerns feel enormous or minor, every struggle matters and deserves attention. Having someone by your side can provide clarity and understanding, guiding you toward growth and healing. I’m here to support you as you navigate this journey— let’s explore together!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy should be a space for healing and growth. By truly listening to your story and understanding your needs, we’ll create an environment where you feel safe and empowered to make sustainable, meaningful changes in your life. Often, people come to me feeling overwhelmed or "stuck" in cycles they can’t seem to break. They may want to rid themselves of the anxiety that haunts them and feel more peace, or they may want to feel less shame about their bodies and become more comfortable in their own skin. Ultimately, many people come to therapy seeking freedom from past wounds, which can open them up to new possibilities for their lives. My approach to therapy is collaborative and trauma-informed. I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy and other skills-based modalities to work toward improving your well-being and relationships.
