About My Clients
Recently divorced? Discovered a partner's infidelity? Trying to conceive? Exploring who you are as an adult adoptee? These phases may have been forced upon you, or maybe they were made by choice. Each one can be difficult due to the particular and unique shame and/or societal beliefs about them. I work with clients to set boundaries, identify their values, re-write their narratives, while implementing healthy lifestyle changes.
My Background and Approach
Pain is a natural part of life. Suffering is not. Pain can inform and protect. Suffering is an experience that lingers and promotes unhealthy thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We experience this suffering when we avoid pain. Counseling can provide the space to explore, confront, and find our values leading us to living a fulfilling and value driven life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
was introduced to therapy as a client. I saw the benefits of having the space to question, think, and feel. We often move through life with resistance. We avoid pain, suffering, and grief. This resistance can trap the very feelings we are trying to avoid forcing us miss the present and experience of life. Counseling is a safe place to sit in fear, love, anger, grief, joy, sadness, and apathy. It is a connection to the human experience of authenticity and vulnerability. The ability to be seen and heard with clarity. To walk into the unknown, but not alone.I would be honored to share this experience with you.
