About My Clients
Are you a young women that typically feels like she has it together or can hold it together? Does it feel like that is slipping away and you're feeling out of control? You think "I should be able to handle or fix this." No matter your experience, your feelings are valid and real. You deserve to prioritize yourself. Your young adult and/or early parenting years are challenging and complex. Whatever your needs are, we all need support along the way.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from UW-Seattle in 2013. As a Clinical Social Worker, I come from a systems theory foundation which means that I recognize that stress or changes in one area of life has impact across many, if not all, other life areas. I have training in evidence based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-focused therapy which have been proven effective in addressing depression and anxiety. I have worked with children, youth, and families for my 16 year career. I have also worked in a variety of settings. As a therapist, I am relational and person centered in my approach. I recognize that you are the one that is capable of making changes to reach your goals.
