About My Clients

My Background and Approach
I have a background in working with individuals, age 23 and up. I received both my bachelor's degree and my master's degree in social work from Arizona State University. But therapy is actually my second career! I assisted women in building their confidence long before being a therapist and love that I get to continue to work with women as a therapist. I started my therapy career in a women's mental health group practice. Women living with PTSD, anxiety, and depression were our speciality. My approach is trauma-informed and focused on rebuilding trust with yourself, other people, and learning coping skills as a starting place. From there we can go anywhere!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone should be able to show up in the world as their most authentic self. There are many systems in society that make it hard for all of us to move through the world as our truest self. I understand that intersectional identities make moving through the world harder for some more than others and I do not shy away from talking about oppressive experiences that my client's have faced. I aspire to empower my client's to reach a place of confidence and peace in how they move in the world.
