Emerald May Rubio (she/her)

I have 18 years serving youth and families, 15 years providing direct service to individuals with neurodiverse needs and mental health struggles, and 6 years of experience working with marginalized communities with complex traumas. Coming from lived experience of breaking generational patterns of abuse, addictions, and victim mindsets, I love helping clients explore generational patterns in their bloodline to broaden the horizons of building their dreamed legacy in their family trees. As one who’s lived through abusive romantic relationships and navigated building safety & love in all areas of my life, it brings me gratitude to help high conflict couples with a history of infidelity, domestic violence, addiction(s), cultural differences, and unaddressed traumas navigate their relationship. As a neurodivergent therapist, I incorporate somatic practices, movement, dance, art, writing, and authentic processing to honor the different learning styles that people embody.

In the words of Mother Theresa, “Spread love wherever you go”. Love is a core value that I live by every day as a wife, mother of 2 teens, eldest sister, collectivist healer, and activist. I am a proud Filipina-American and believer of Jesus Christ who loves everyone. Being raised by parents and grandparents who immigrated from the Philippines, she has lived through the hustle of her family members relentlessly fighting for the American Dream. As a resilient survivor of decades of physical, emotional, and sexual trauma from childhood to early adulthood, I have become a bold advocate for my fellow trauma warriors. As a survivor of sexual traumas (molestation, rapes, drug-induced assaults, coercion), I feel honored to hold healing circles for fellow survivors. I embody such gratitude in my lived experiences as it has led me to my purpose in helping others heal. It would be an honor to serve you on your path towards healing and empowerment.
