About My Clients
I'm guessing you're here because life is not going the way it's supposed to. Normally, you have it all together. But now you can't sleep, can't eat, can't focus. Work is a mess, home is a mess, you're a mess. You're lonely, tired, angry, sad, scared - you're simply not okay. When life has fallen apart and we're trying to pick up the pieces, we need a space to feel heard and understood. More importantly, we need to get feedback and learn new skills to start moving forward with life.
My Background and Approach
You're probably seeking therapy because your emotions or actions are negatively impacting your ability to go to work or school, take care of your basic needs, or harming your relationships. To help you get some relief, we will start with building skills to cope better in the day to day. In time, that leads to addressing the trauma underneath it all and healing the wounds you've carried too long. I find that clients know what they need to work on, so our sessions are structured to give you the freedom and space to do the work you feel is important. We often start with discussing stressors in your daily life and building skills to address these. Along the way, we will begin to unpack the underlying traumas or dysfunctional patterns and develop the resiliency to overcome them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy has been proven most effective when we feel safe and comfortable with our therapist. My desire is to create an environment where you are heard, understood, respected, and cared for, while also directed and guided in growth and healing. Choosing to meet with a therapist and share your struggles and trauma is a bold, brave, deeply personal thing to do. I'd be honored to meet you and walk with you as you set down the bricks of your past and build a better life for yourself and your loved ones.
