About My Clients

Do you feel like you are floating alone in the world, without a sense of clarity or self-acceptance? Do you wonder if the ways you experience sex and sexuality are 'normal' or 'okay'? Have you started questioning your sexual, gender, or relational identity? I've been through these things too and love working with queer or allied folx who need support. I want to help you find a more fulfilling life - whether its with sex, changing identity, or other general worries.

My Background and Approach

I have more than 16 years of clinical experience working in a variety of settings. I've practiced in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, intensive outpatient programs, and have run my own therapy practice for 15+ years. I have both clinical and personal connections with the queer, gender-expansive, relationally open, and kinky communities, which I draw on to provide a safe space for all. I earned my MSSW from the University of Texas at Austin and then completed 3,000+ hours of training to earn my Licensed Clinical Social Worker status. I am also certified as a LCSW Supervisor in order to help new therapists earn their clinical licensure. I then worked through an additional 200+ hours of training specifically in Sex Therapy. I am a member of AASECT which allows me to further deepen my expertise in sex and relationship therapy. I utilize a smorgasbord of theoretical lenses and approaches to help my clients find clarity, connection and sink deeper into self-acceptance.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I hold strongly to the idea that we are all doing the best we can, given our backgrounds, experiences, and knowledge. This base framework allows for each of us to continue discovering, growing, and changing in ways that help us to feel more calm, confident, sure, and fulfilled. Our lives are intertwined deeply with the cultural and societal factors around us. This means that we often are caught in a place of turmoil when our personal experience of self doesn't align with the broader discourse about 'right' and 'wrong'. Social justice and intersectionality are the backbone of my practice, even as we may navigate topics that seem unrelated. Sex positivity is another basis of my work - meaning that I am open, accepting, and knowledgeable of many different sexual experiences and desires. We all have inherent and native value and I strive to center this in our work together.
