About My Clients
I help clients examine all the relationships in their lives—whether with the self, others or even their vices. I specialize in helping clients by both validating and understanding their experience and in the same space being curious about how to navigate change. I believe in direct communication and that the relationship between therapist and client can foster growth. I work with clients working on substance use, grief, loss, relationships, personality traits and emotional disregulation.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in dialectical behavior therapy with a focus on regulation emotions. If you ever feel like your emotions are in control and not you - we can work together to help problem solve how to regain a sense of control. For us to grow and change as people, its often in relation to others and we can use our time in therapy to foster growth and change within yourself. I am a skills-based therapist who specializes in complex cases and individuals with big emotions. Trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I focus on helping clients build concrete, practical tools to navigate emotional intensity, relationship challenges, and overwhelming life experiences. My approach is structured, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based techniques that support real change. I work with people who may feel stuck, reactive, or emotionally dysregulated, and together we develop skills. This work goes beyond just insight.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
What sets me apart from a therapist who primarily listens is that I take an active, skills-based approach to therapy. While being heard and validated is essential, I believe real change happens when clients are equipped with practical tools they can use in their everyday lives. I don’t just hold space—I help you build a toolbox. I believe that all of us have the power to change, we often just need help to get started. Growing up in the pacific northwest, I am intimately familiar with the culture of the region and how isolating we can feel in the world around us at times. I am hear to offer that support, encouragement and skills that can help you through a stressful time in your life.
