About My Clients
It is exhausting to walk on eggshells and avoid the talk. Life with a partner isn’t what you thought it would be. You feel stuck and afraid if you seek therapy everything will crumble. You are in good company. This is how my clients described their current state when they decided to work with me. My clients experience relational and cross cultural conflicts, cope with current stressors with addictive behaviors. Together we explore patterns holding you back and discover new possibilities.
My Background and Approach
I am a bilingual clinician with Master’s degree in Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University. My experience includes working with clients who received a dual diagnosis and was suffering from addiction. Therapists do not have the secret to make problems go away. As aLicensed Marriage and Family Therapist, trust and safety for my clients is at the epicenter of my work. I believe healing takes place when clients feel safe to live their truth. So, I invite you to a non-judgmental therapeutic collaboration with me where you express and manifest what is meaningful for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe mental health services must be preventative healthcare, not a last resort intervention. My intention is to co-create acceptance and openness, foster empowerment in a collective community so that any one and every one can exist and live by the values they align with. I support the fight against mental health stigma and bias across all genders, ethnicities and sexual orientations. While I cannot claim that I am an expert in racial and systemic oppression, I can assure you that I continuously keep myself up to date and challenge my old belief systems. I am sex positive, and I welcome clients that would like to explore consensual non-monogamic options. I am a dog lover and a single mother of two.
