About My Clients
Though I work with a variety of clients, I specialize in working clinically with LGBTQ+ individuals/couples, trauma, and anxiety. I offer further specialization in navigating spiritual and religious trauma.
My Background and Approach
I offer a compassionate approach to therapy that is depth-oriented and neuro/trauma-informed. My style of therapy seeks to engage your thoughts, emotions, and the physical feelings of your body to restore the feeling of life. Over the years of learning and growing as a therapist I've come place specific attention on working with the body and mindful awareness. Our bodies hold their own memory and can feel trapped in patterns that we are unsure how to access or begin to change. Learning the language of our body and experimenting with new ways of relating can change the areas of our life that talking alone hasn't been able to.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a gay man with my own experience of being supported in therapy, I feel personally invested in joining my clients on their journey to develop their identity. Navigating daily life requires a sense of self that can be hard to access for anyone, but especially for those of us who haven't been validated in our identity. We all deserve to feel alive, full of meaning, and free to develop the relationships that make life worth living. I believe this is possible for everyone and that, though we may need to find reconnection with it, we each have all we need in us to be our truest authentic selves.
