My therapy style is influenced by psychodynamic theories, relational psychotherapy, attachment theory, contemplative psychology, somatics, and social justice theories. My approach is eclectic and client centered, meaning I tailor my work with each client to their unique strengths and challenges.
I believe you are the expert on your experiences, and my role is to collaborate with you to create the healing environment and structure that will best serve you. I have worked in many different settings including community mental health, college counseling, private practice, sports organizations, and contemplative-based outpatient settings.
More information about my training and background is available on my website (http://www.ellielipton.com).
