About My Clients
I work best with teens, young adults, and families navigating life’s challenges. Many of my clients face anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, or self-esteem struggles. I also support those adjusting to transitions like school, family changes, or identity exploration. My ideal clients are seeking a safe, collaborative space to process emotions, build coping skills, and create healthier patterns for the future. Together, we focus on growth, healing, and resilience.
My Background and Approach
I bring experience from adolescent day treatment at Huntsman Mental Health Institute, outpatient therapy, and suicide prevention research. These settings have strengthened my ability to support teens, young adults, and families through complex challenges. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which allow me to tailor care to each client’s unique needs. My specialties include helping clients process trauma, regulate emotions, build confidence, and strengthen relationships. I work from a trauma-informed, collaborative perspective, offering a safe space where clients can explore emotions, discover strengths, and develop practical skills. Clients benefit from my warm, supportive approach that balances structure with flexibility, empowering them to create healthier patterns and foster resilience for lasting growth. I feel honored to walk alongside each client in their journey of healing and self-discovery.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing happens in safe, supportive relationships where people feel truly seen and valued. I am passionate about creating inclusive spaces for teens, young adults, and families, with a commitment to affirming LGBTQ+ clients and honoring diverse cultural backgrounds. My values are rooted in compassion, collaboration, and social justice, and I strive to challenge systems that create barriers to care. Outside of the therapy room, I’ve been involved in suicide prevention research and community advocacy around mental health access. I also volunteer time with organizations focused on reproductive rights and youth empowerment. These experiences shape how I show up as a therapist—with openness, respect, and curiosity. I know therapy can feel intimidating, and my goal is to provide warmth and authenticity so clients feel safe to be themselves. I believe every person has strengths worth uncovering and a story worth honoring.
