About My Clients
I work with adults who are ready to go beneath the surface of what they’re experiencing. My clients often come to me around gender and sexual identity, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, life transitions, spirituality, or a sense that something no longer fits. I especially welcome genderqueer, nonbinary, transgender, queer, and LGBTQ+ clients, as well as people exploring identity, authenticity, and what it means to live more fully as themselves.
My Background and Approach
I’m a queer depth psychotherapist, supervisor, author, and speaker in Colorado. I have over 4,000 hours of therapy experience, 200+ happy clients, more than a decade in therapeutic and helping work, and six years of clinical psychotherapy. I’m also a PhD Candidate in Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute, where my research focuses on genderqueer, nonbinary, and trans identity and asks: How does gender guide us toward authenticity? My approach is warm, heartful, radically nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I believe what’s happening on the surface often points toward something deeper, so we won’t rush past your experience in search of a quick fix. Depending on your needs, our work may draw from depth psychology, trauma-informed care, parts work/IFS, inner-child work, identity exploration, spirituality, and soul work. My hope is that therapy helps you understand yourself more deeply, trust yourself more fully, and create a life that feels authentically yours.
Social Justice Issues I Care About
You don’t have to leave parts of yourself at the door. I believe therapy is inseparable from the world we live in. Capitalism, racism, colonization, gender oppression, and ecological disconnection shape our nervous systems, identities, relationships, and sense of belonging. I’m committed to anti-racism, multiculturalism, queer and trans liberation, gender autonomy, and ecological justice. I’m especially passionate about helping white clients gently examine internalized racism as part of trauma and identity work. I’m part of the multiculturalism-celebrating community at my PhD institution and continually explore culture, power, privilege, and context in my work. I also facilitate ecological nature retreats for femmes and thems, centering connection with the living world and learning from Indigenous perspectives. I believe healing can challenge the idea that we must simply adapt to harmful systems—and can instead reconnect us to ourselves, one another, our communities, and the Earth.
