About My Clients

I work with adult individuals (18+) and specialize in working with those of mixed racial/ethnic heritage, people of color, and womxn/femme/non-binary folx. As a mixed Asian and LGBTQIA2S+ affirming practitioner, my practice is rooted in principles of anti-oppression and collective liberation

My Background and Approach

Hello there and welcome! Looking for a therapist can sometimes be a daunting process- I applaud you on your efforts to deepen wellness, healing, liberation, and self-love for yourself through engaging in therapy. I offer a 20-minute free phone consultation and fully encourage you to "interview" me to see if I am a good fit for your needs and preferences at this time. If we determine my style and expertise does not match your needs, I am more than happy to provide lists of referrals to other therapists. My approach to therapy is collaborative and affirming of your strengths. I place emphasis on allowing you to show up as you are. We will work to honor both who you are as a person- contextually, culturally, spiritually, and historically- and what your preferences are for engaging in healing work. Our work together will likely integrate multiple therapeutic styles. My aim is for us to co-create an effective healing space that feels supportive and enriching.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Sessions will center your experience and your needs. I am a holistic practitioner, meaning that I honor your embodied existence of mind, body, and soul. I am happy to meet you where you are comfortable- whether that be primarily through talk therapy, somatic practices, other modalities, or an eclectic combination. You may choose to delve into your past or with traumas you have dealt with, or you may elect to focus on your day-to-day and on improving particular areas of your life- both options are valid and may shift over the course of our time together. Throughout our work together, I seek to honor your identities and to collaborate in naming and exploring how dominant systems and ideologies may have intersected with your sense of self. Above all, your unique lived experience and expertise speaks for itself.
