About My Clients
My experience lies in working with individuals and couples who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, intimacy struggles, those in recovery from eating disorders or substance abuse, or coping with various life transitions. I love working with couples in monogamous and non-monogamous relationships, people exploring kink, sexuality, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
My Background and Approach
I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon and received my Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College with a focus in sex therapy. I am a registered Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapist intern (R5604) and I am supervised by Lisa Peacock, LMFT. I have worked as a milieu therapist in a pediatric eating disorder facility, an individual and couple therapist at an outpatient co-occurring mental health and substance abuse facility, in addition to conducting group therapy with offenders of domestic violence.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal belief regarding the therapeutic process is that the client is the expert on their own lives, and it is my responsibility to create a safe and supportive environment in which to grow a collaborative therapeutic relationship. I have been developing my therapeutic style over the past few years, and I have come to practice from a narrative lens while incorporating emotion-focused interventions with my clients. I strive to come from a place of curiosity and humility with all people, while allowing space to foster change.
