About My Clients
I am passionate about working with clients from all walks of life, including individuals from BIPOC, neurodivergent, and LGBTQ+ communities. Growing up within both Asian and American cultures, I understand the complexities of navigating identity while seeking a deeper self-understanding, especially when feeling lost. There are the experiences that help shape my understanding of the challenges that many people face when questioning life’s meaning and purpose.
My Background and Approach
I noticed that many people come to therapy feeling unsure about life’s purpose or whether they’re on the “right” path. Rather than chasing a single life purpose, I help clients develop an understanding of their “process” to living, which involves learning the ways that they respond, adapt, and make meaning through change and adversity. Together, we will explore values, strengthen coping skills, and find ways to move forward that align with what matters most to you. I use evidence-based approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness to help clients connect mind, body, and heart. Eventually, I would ask how your thoughts affect how you feel (down to how you experience these feelings in your body) and what you end up doing in response to those thoughts and feelings. This is very important to increasing your self-awareness, and finding manageable ways to cope with life's stressors.
