About My Clients

My passion is to support you through complex life experiences by highlighting your strengths and helping to better understand the connection between these experiences, your relationships, internal dialog, and emotional state. You are the expert in your story and that doesn’t change just because there is a therapist in the room.

My Background and Approach

For the past 13 years I have worked within the mental health field providing clinical support to children, teens, and adults in school, hospital, outpatient, courtroom, and community mental health settings. I specialize in working with individuals of all different, beautiful backgrounds and have practiced within the United States and abroad. I firmly believe that when we aren’t able to talk about, reflect on, and process experiences, we start to feel more isolated, silenced, and often ashamed. I love to create spaces where we can balance the science of therapeutic intervention with the art of compassion and connection so that we can meet your goals, whatever they may be. I utilize traditional talk therapy, incorporating a strengths based, trauma informed lens and am also trained in EMDR and animal assisted therapy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I firmly believe that access to mental health is a matter of justice. I am committed to fostering an inclusive, affirming, and equitable space for all. I recognize the deep impact of systemic oppression, including racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of discrimination, on mental health and well-being. As both a person and professional, I am dedicated to dismantling these barriers by providing therapy that is actively anti-racist and anti-oppressive and believe that being culturally responsive is a continual act of learning. I believe in the power of healing through justice, empathy, and empowerment. My approach is rooted in intersectionality, acknowledging and honoring the diverse identities, lived experiences, and resilience of every individual. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, valued, and supported in their journey toward growth and healing.
