About My Clients
I enjoy working with individuals that struggle with anxiety, depression, and developing social skills and specialize in strategies and techniques for individuals with Autism and trauma and grief. I have experience with behavioral issues, school concerns, divorce, social disorders, self-harm, crisis, independent living skills, infidelity, OCD, and self-esteem concerns.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist with over 10 years of experience working with children and families. I enjoy working individually with all age ranges as well as supporting couples and the family unit. I focus on providing a safe environment, supporting each individual to reach their goals, while providing research evidence-based strategies to develop healthy coping skills. I utilize an Integrative Theoretical Approach using techniques and skills from Adlerian Therapy, Relational Cultural Therapy (RCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Digital Play Therapy, Expressive Arts, and Internal Family Systems.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at St. Mary’s University and enjoy learning and staying abreast with research and strategies. I would love the opportunity to get to know you and see if we are a good fit as I support you on your counseling journey.
