About My Clients
There are seasons in our lives when things fall apart. I work with folx who want to rediscover their inner wisdom in the midst of life's most challenging moments and are willing to explore the depths of their internal world in a well-paced, safe, and nurturing environment. People who are deconstructing their faith, navigating family dynamics, experiencing grief, embarking on new life transitions, and/or are facing subsequent depression and anxiety are encouraged to reach out.
My Background and Approach
I’m a highly relational psychodynamic therapist which means that I believe our therapeutic relationship is the transformative engine in therapy for long-term healing. I hold faith in and listen deeply for the inner wisdom of my clients that is sometimes overlooked because of doubt, shame, trauma, and external voices that promote self-abandonment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe this work is sacred and that it is as much about creating more capacity for joy and vitality as it is about processing harm. I consider it an honor to journey with each and every person who walks into our shared therapeutic space. All of my therapeutic work is couched within systems theories that acknowledge oppressive structures that permeate our daily lives. I hold that our work towards liberation is continuous and, alongside community, I am committed to holistic healing inside and outside of the therapeutic space. I hold a MA in Theology and an MA in Counseling Psychology.
