About My Clients
I support clients through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, grief, and trauma and through life transitions, relationship struggles, and couples counseling. I believe in the importance of incorporating your values and can additionally offer faith-based counseling alongside other evidence-based interventions.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in the mental health field for more than five years. Most of my experience has been with clients struggling with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders in the community mental health setting. From these experiences, I learned about real compassion, and was daily inspired by the resiliency shown by my colleagues and clients that I served. More recently, I have experience working with eating disorders on an inpatient setting. In this setting I have learned about many different types of eating disorders and how to treat them, as well as co-occurring disorders such as OCD, anxiety, depression, and substance use. Furthermore, through my graduate school experience, I have specialized training in marriage and family counseling as well as PTSD, using methods such as Prolonged Exposure and Schema Therapy to effectively treat trauma. I have a wide variety of experiences and knowledge and actively work to find the best treatment and approach that fits you!
