About My Clients

I work primarily with adults experiencing a wide variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, sexual and gender identity concerns, women’s issues, trauma, spiritual issues, parenting, grief and loss, relationship problems, and emotional issues. One of my areas of interest is Christian spirituality and the exploration of developmental Christianity. I am curious how one lives out their faith and handles the tension that arise as faith is lived and worked out in life and relationships.

My Background and Approach

I often utilize the ideas within attachment-based psychodynamic theory. This approach emphasizes increased self-awareness and a greater understanding of patterns that have developed in relating to others. It is within this greater understanding of ourselves that a new way of perceiving and relating to the world can be explored and lasting change has the ability to take root. Whatever may prompt you to seek treatment, I believe that we can work together and move towards greater understanding and relief from suffering—whether that be working with me or finding another resource that may better fit your needs. Seeking help can be unsettling and my hope is to connect and help you understand how therapy may be beneficial to you. I believe that therapy is one avenue in which people can move towards experiencing greater freedom, obtain deeper and more meaningful relationships, and discover hope.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a Clinical Psychologist licensed in the State of Washington. I completed my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology in 2016 from Rosemead School of Psychology located in La Mirada, California. Previous educational experiences include a BA in Liberal Studies from Iowa State University, an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology, and an MA in Clinical Psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology. My clinical training included an APA accredited internship at Biola Counseling Center in La Mirada, California. I received additional training in neuropsychological assessment with a psychology clerkship at the University of Irvine Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders. I have worked in a variety of settings including a community mental health center, an assisted living center, and private practice setting.
