About My Clients
I work with individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and families who feel stuck in cycles of conflict, disconnection, or miscommunication. Many of my clients are navigating relationship stress, parenting challenges, family transitions, or emotional overwhelm. They are seeking therapy that feels collaborative, culturally responsive, inclusive, and nonjudgmental, and they want practical support to build stronger relationships, deeper understanding, and lasting change.
My Background and Approach
My work is grounded in a relational, family systems perspective that views individuals within the context of their relationships, culture, and lived experiences. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel understood, supported, and empowered within their family and relational systems. I work collaboratively with children (ages 6–10), preteens, teens, and adults, as well as with couples and families, tailoring therapy to each developmental stage and family structure. I use a culturally responsive, strengths-based approach that emphasizes communication, emotional regulation, and connection. Therapy with me is active, supportive, and nonjudgmental, creating space to explore patterns, build coping skills, and strengthen relationships. My goal is to help clients develop greater insight, resilience, and practical tools to navigate challenges and create lasting change within themselves and their relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a safe, affirming, and collaborative space where all people feel respected and valued. I approach my work with humility, curiosity, and a commitment to cultural responsiveness. I recognize that identity, culture, relationships, and family structures shape how people experience the world and themselves. I am trained in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and families and in supporting clients in ethical non-monogamy and polyamorous relationships. I believe affirming care means honoring clients’ identities, values, and relational choices without judgment. I view clients as experts on their own lives and see therapy as a partnership focused on growth, connection, and resilience. My goal is to support clients in building insight, strengthening relationships, and creating meaningful change in ways that align with who they are and what matters most to them.
