About My Clients
I see clients from all walks of life, starting with people as young as 15 to adults. I see people who have depression, anxiety, gender identity exploration questions, sexual health concerns, women's issues, chronic health/pain conditions, and post-traumatic stress disorders. I believe in the power of talk therapy as means to foster change. Being seen and heard are vital to our sense of self. I'm listening.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed practitioner of Narrative Therapy (NT) who utilizes strength’s-based, cognitive-behavioral, and trauma-informed modalities in therapeutic practice. I have a special interest in women’s health and sexual health. As a narrative therapist, I acknowledge the multiplicity of stories in our lives, helping others gain authorship of their story via the therapeutic process. I meet people where they are at, challenging preconceived notions of normativity, while fostering strength, grace, and development of the self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a prolific reader, from fiction to poetry, research to nature-writing. I have been interested in and I have collected rocks and semi-precious stones since I was a child. Additionally, I love plants, both indoor and outdoor varieties, and I keep a colorful garden in the summer. I am a poet, finding inspiration in nature, the beauty of common objects, and lived experience.
