About My Clients
Some of my clients are women that are trying to find themselves or redefine who they are in their middle+ years. A lot of my clients are tired of having to explain their lifestyles to therapist/doctors and are looking for someone that understands the language of their communities (ENM, kink, LGBTQIA+). If you're looking for someone that can challenge you we might be a good fit.
My Background and Approach
My background is a twisting and winding path of experiences, jobs, life choices, and passions that have lead my to become the therapist I am today. I had several years of "practice" while tending bar in my early 20s-late 30s, that when I figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up. I "found" myself through playing roller derby in 2005-2010. I put myself through school as a non traditional student while supporting myself working in the service industry. My approach is very me. I show up as myself for my clients and hold space for them to be the truest version of themselves that they can. We may laugh or cry. Hell, I might even make you mad, but we'll get to talk about things that feel important to you. What you want to get from therapy is up to you. I can help you figure out what that looks like and we can work together to write your story with you as the main character and narrator.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that capitalism and the patriarchy are ruining everything. We are in a losing battle and learning how to pick/chose what to care about sucks. I believe that food, shelter, medical care, and education are all human rights. Black lives matter, trans rights are human rights, and "blue lives" is not a thing.
