About My Clients

Do you feel different, like no one else understands what you are going through? Do you feel alone, sad, or hopeless? Do you struggle to let go of the things that have happened to you in the past? Do you feel like you are surviving rather than thriving and want more for your life? Therapy may be something new to you, it may seem scary and you may not be used to asking for help. It is my goal as a therapist to provide a safe space where you can be seen and heard, where you can heal and thrive.

My Background and Approach

I like to use a collaborative and strength based approach to treatment. The focus in on what works for YOU as a unique individual. I have been trained in the following Evidence Based Practices: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Seeking Safety, Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), and Incredible Years. Additionally, I have been trained in Motivational Interviewing and the Risking Connection curriculum. I am passionate about helping my clients reach their goals and achieve a more satisfying, healthy, and balanced life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe everyone can benefit from therapy. I became a therapist because therapy has had a great impact on my own life. Just like we tend to other areas of our lives, we deserve a safe space to tend to our mental wellness. Through therapy, you can gain insight and awareness into your patterns of behavior, learn positive coping skills, and heal past trauma. Therapy is an investment in yourself, in your personal growth and development. As a Latina, I have first hand knowledge of the impact of the many societal issues that impact BIPOC such as racism, colorism, historical and intergenerational trauma, anti-immigrant rhetoric, just to name a few. I strive to make my practice inclusive and anti-racist and am committed to addressing and eradicating all forms of racism and ethnic oppression. In my free time, I like to travel, garden, walk in nature, and spend time with my 2 dogs.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
I have experience with the following
