About My Clients
I have experience working at college and graduate students through local universities, and I have a passion for helping people who are students or early career. I also enjoy working with people who are military-affiliated or veterans, religious/spiritual people or those with "church hurt," and anyone who works in a "helping" field, like other therapists. I customize my approach to each client to meet their needs.
My Background and Approach
I grew up in the greater Seattle area and I completed my Masters in Counseling Psychology through Northwest University (2018). In order to serve clients best, I decided to get additional training and pursued by Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology at the Rosemead School of Psychology (MA 2020, PsyD 2023) in California. While in CA, I gained experience working in the juvenile justice system, with families and kids through community mental health clinics, and in both a high school and college counseling center. I returned to Washington to complete my clinical internship at the University of Washington Tacoma's counseling center, and worked at Seattle University's counseling center before I opened my private practice. I received my psychologist license in 2025. I take a collaborative, genuine, warm, evidence-informed, & empowering approach to therapy. I believe you are the expert of your life. I welcome feedback from my clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodiversity friendly, and strive to be an ally. In therapy, my hopes are to center your values and beliefs so that we can work together to improve your mental health in a way that is congruent with who you are. This often means considering different perspectives from my own, and the impact of intersectional identities on experience. If something I say in therapy needs to be adjusted to fit your values, identity, or culture, I will do my best to adapt and collaborate with you. On a personal note, I love getting to spend time with animals, especially my three cats Honey, Maple, and Butters. When I am not cuddling my cats, I love to spend time with my spouse hosting dinner parties with friends and family, playing games, going on waterfront walks, and exploring local haunts.
