About My Clients
Do you feel like you show up for everyone else but struggle to take care of yourself? People rely on you, but privately you feel embarrassed that parts of your life feel messy. When things feel out of control, it can be hard to let people in or feel comfortable being yourself. I offer a space where you can show up messy and human. Together, we’ll sort through what’s weighing on you, notice patterns that keep you stuck, and build more clarity, self-trust, and space to be yourself.
My Background and Approach
I come from a diverse background in education and experience. With a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Bachelor’s in Food and Nutrition, and a previous career as a park ranger, I view mental health through a holistic lens. In my experience, wellness grows from the connection between mind, body, and a sense of belonging -whether that is to spirit, religion, community, nature, or culture. My approach is integrative and collaborative. Together we build emotional intelligence and communication skills while working toward meaningful goals with practical tools. I believe therapy should be tailored to the individual, because a “one-size-fits-all” approach rarely works for everyone.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As someone who grew up feeling like I never quite fit into the labels society gave us, it's important to me to create a space where everyone feels welcome. I don’t personally prescribe to a specific label within LGBTQ+ or straight communities and I welcome anyone from any place on that spectrum or who needs the space to question where they think they belong. It's also important to me to create a space where people don't feel shamed or judged for their experiences or health. I have seen first hand the stigma people experience when their illness and pain from chronic illness and autoimmune conditions are invisible to others. Navigating a maze of medical advice and doctors appointments can be overwhelming. Sometimes it's important to simply have a place to feel your feelings, process information, and express yourself away from friends and family who are quick to offer well-meaning advice.
