About My Clients
I specialize in trauma-focused, sex-positive therapy with a particular commitment to the queer community who - due to identity-based discrimination and harassment, family rejection, and lack of social support - are at increased risk of traumatic experiences. For our queer community, the world can be unsafe and unaccepting.
My Background and Approach

If you have experienced trauma, you might: •Prioritize other people's feelings over your own needs and wants. •Feel like a burden to others. •Have difficulty trusting others or trusting the wrong people. •Feel intense shame and self-loathing. •Doubt yourself and seek approval from others. •Think of yourself as "broken." •Have trouble maintaining close relationships. •Fear abandonment or rejection. Trauma can also be associated with ADHD, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, substance abuse, autoimmune disorders, and other chronic health issues. If any of this sounds familiar, let's talk. We are hurt in relationship, and we heal in relationship. As a trauma-focused, sex-positive therapist, I use attachment-based and relational therapy to help people understand how their past shows up in the present. Based on this understanding, we use specific tools and strategies that help you safely relate to yourself and others safely and securely.
