About My Clients
Grief is a universal experience. Whether it's loss of a loved one, a major job change, or the impacts of a chronic illness, we all experience grief in our lifetimes. If you are struggling with feelings of sadness, isolation, and hopelessness, I can help. With more than a decade of experience as a medical social worker, I am well versed in the challenges facing middle-aged and older adults, including grief, loss, and chronic illness.
My Background and Approach
I believe that you are the expert in your own life. My job as your therapist is to hold the space for you to examine your struggles, remember your strengths, and find a way to adjust to the big changes that come with growing older, especially the various losses we face in our lifetimes. I can't take your grief from you, but together we can find a way to honor your losses and live with them rather than suffering with them. I have a Master's degree in social work and have been working with older adults for the majority of my career. My work is mostly listening to the stories of people's lives and helping them make sense of the parts that are difficult to navigate, especially when it comes to grief and loss. Your story is important; together, we can find a way to honor your losses and celebrate the gifts in your life.
