About My Clients
Seeking support is an act of strength. Perhaps the pandemic is making it even harder to navigate the challenges of college, grad school, work, or relationships. Maybe you’re having trouble focusing or relaxing because you can’t quiet anxious thoughts. Many people are experiencing a growing sense of unhappiness, low motivation, and inadequacy. For others, long held worry about how they’re perceived is impeding their ability to make and sustain meaningful relationships. I'd like to help.
My Background and Approach
I am an intentional integrationist, which is a fancy way of saying I am trained in many therapeutic approaches to help you based on your needs, experiences, preferences, and style of learning. I aim to help you gain skills to relieve anxiety, depression, and stress and develop insight into unhelpful patterns, so you can live a more fulfilling life. I see clients as the “pilot” of the metaphorical journey of therapy, and myself as an expert co-pilot and navigator. You decide where we go, our speed, and when to “refuel,” while I help provide the most efficient way to reach your chosen destination. My therapeutic style is client-centered, trauma-informed, and is guided by the multicultural, strengths, and person-in-environment perspectives. Regardless of the customized treatment plan I employ, building and tending to a trusting therapeutic relationship with you is at the heart of what I do. My goal is to help you to feel heard, empowered, supported, and above all to feel better.
