My Background and Approach
Over the course of my career, I have worked with countless adults and older teens navigating trauma, grief, and overwhelming stress. Through this work, I have developed a variety of tools and techniques designed to help you feel grounded, calm, and in control. My goal is for you to leave therapy with at least five strategies you can use anytime, anywhere—so that no matter what challenges arise, you have practical ways to create relief and regain balance. I take a collaborative, solution-focused approach. We will work together to address the issues that are most pressing for you in the moment, whether it’s intense anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or emotional overwhelm. I’ll guide you through understanding what is happening in your body and mind, helping you connect with different parts of your brain and develop resilience so that stressful experiences feel more manageable over time.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person has the capacity to heal and grow, no matter where they are in life. I don't think there's limit to what we can learn, change, or achieve when we are supported in our own unique way. Many of the challenges we face---anxiety, trauma responses, grief, unhealthy habits--are learned patterns, which means they can also be unlearned and replace with healthier ways of beings. As someone who has navigated my own experiences with trauma, grief, and emotional overwhelm, I know how powerful therapy can be. I have learned tools and strategies that allow me to live with purpose, calm, and resilience, and my goal is to help you experience that same freedom in your life. I take a holistic approach, addressing mind, body, and spirit, so that you not only cope but thrive in a way that feels natural and sustainable. I believe in creating a safe, inclusive space for everyone.
