About My Clients

I have experience working with diverse populations, including military veterans and adults coping with PTSD, anxiety, trauma, and substance use. I primarily utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while developing skills to create meaningful change. My clinical style is collaborative, structured, and grounded in practical strategies.

My Background and Approach

Clients working with me can expect a thoughtful, supportive space where goals are clear, progress is monitored, and treatment is adapted to their needs. I emphasize both insight and action, helping clients move forward with confidence and clarity. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from DePaul University in Chicago, where I also worked in a research lab exploring the long-term psychological effects of chronic illness. I later completed my master’s in psychology at Boston University and gained experience at Brigham and Women’s Hospital conducting neuropsychological assessments in a medical setting. I went on to earn my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Saint Louis University. My research focused on cognitive screeners used to detect stroke-related impairments. I also studied cognitive aging. Throughout my graduate training, I worked in a variety of settings—including academic medical centers, community clinics, and VA hospitals.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
