About My Clients
I like to work with adults navigating relationship challenges, family conflict, and experiences of abuse. I offer a safe, affirming, and trauma-informed space where we partner to explore challenges, build skills, and find ways to feel empowered, resilient, and grounded. If you want a down-to-earth counselor who takes the work seriously but not herself, with an expressive face who likes to laugh (usually at my own expense) while tackling the hard stuff, I’m your person- let’s work together!
My Background and Approach
My work as a therapist is guided by a deep belief in helping people feel comfortable in who they are and proud of who they’re becoming. I bring over five years of experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum, along with training in a crisis stabilization hospital serving diverse adolescents and adults, including people of varied cultural, sexual, and gender identities. During my year-long practicum, I counseled unhoused women who experienced trauma, abuse, and complex family dynamics. Across these experiences, I’ve seen how relationships, support systems- or the lack of them- and experiences of abuse can deeply shape self-worth, emotional well-being, and the way people show up in life. I aim to offer a space that’s affirming and compassionate, where clients can grow and heal.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Having grown up navigating multiple cultural perspectives as a biracial, second-generation immigrant, I’ve seen firsthand how identity and culture shape who we are and how complicated it can be to figure this out. I feel privileged to help others and create a safe space to explore these “hard to talk about” topics while honoring each person’s journey. I am passionate about supporting BIPOC, LGBTQ+ individuals, and anyone whose voice has been minimized, and I approach therapy with cultural humility, ongoing self-reflection, and a trauma-informed lens. My work centers on client expertise, warmth, and humanity.
