About My Clients

Are you someone searching for meaning? Are you burnt out or stressed from life? Do you feel like your mental health is in decline? Are you a healthcare provider, caregiving professional, or emergency responder? Are you a parent or primary caregiver to someone with a disability? Are you living in chronic pain that effects your ability to do what you love or your relationships with others? OT can provide a holistic approach to your everyday problems.

My Background and Approach

As an OT for the last 11 years and former first responder, I encountered the everyday struggles individuals and families of all backgrounds face in today's world. My experience in working in mental health school settings, trauma informed care, and community based developmental services, I've learned to approach and embed a variety of mental health approaches in my everyday practice. We will work collaboratively addressing all aspects of your life that contribute to your mental health which include your physical health including pain management, sensory processing, nutrition, medication management, sleep, and exercise, environment, relationships, routines and habits, managing roles, leisure, and work. Therapy includes taking the time to get to know your story, understanding your strengths and needs, your roles, and what is most meaningful to you in order to help you reach your goals of better mental health.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe everyone's story deserves a chance to be heard. I also believe everyone has the capacity to seek change and growth in their life. As a former responder and in the work I perform now, i've seen mental illness from the acute and crisis stage to those coping with mental illness everyday. I see how mental illness, stress, and trauma impact people everyday including their relationships to others including parenting roles. As a former first responder and healthcare provider, I witness and experience trauma, stress, and burn out. I don't want others to suffer or be judged for the obstacles they may be facing. We all deserved to be heard and to have someone in their toolbox (along with a variety of tools, supports) to turn too when we need some accountability to taking care of our selves.
