Tired of repeating outdated relationship patterns, frustrated because you thought you dealt with these issues already, and ready to get to the ROOT cause of the trauma that fuels old relationship patterns? I would love to help. My clients are on a journey of creating new relationship patterns after surviving abuse (childhood, dv, systemic, etc.), ones based in reciprocity, safety, and playfulness. They have huge, tender, fiery hearts, deep souls, and are weird AF.. I can't get enough.
My Background and Approach
I've been a psychotherapist since 2013, specializing in recovering from domestic violence, complex trauma, and creating new relationship patterns after abuse; other specialties include family issues, boundaries, and the ways trauma manifests as anxiety and depression. Fellow survivor of power and control + interabled, and on a mission to help folx heal the root cause through a body-focused, liberation-centered approach. I believe in a non-pathologizing approach that looks at the ways your nervous system has appropriately responded to abuse, both macro and micro (dv, oppressive political systems, etc.). Trainings include Somatic Experiencing (Beg. Level II), EMDR II, Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples, and Trauma-Focused CBT. I'm a Clinical Supervisor for TN-based, post-Masters therapists who are seeking licensure as LPC-MHSP. *I offer Somatic Experiencing services to folx who reside outside of TN.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m a white-bodied human animal on a mission to help heal the root cause of oppression-based relationship patterns (i.e., domestic violence). To heal these patterns at the deepest root level, I believe this also means standing for collective liberation for all humxns, animals, and the Earth. Micro and macro. To be congruent with this personal and professional goal, I make every, ever-evolving effort in my business and brand to be anti-genocide, anti-ableist, anti-racist, anti-anthropocentric, and gender-affirming. I strive to be a welcome, safe, and inclusive space for all genders, gender identities, bodies, bodies of culture, ability levels, sexual orientations, and religious beliefs. Everything used within my brand is vegan and cruelty-free. I make continual efforts to examine and heal internal imprints and conditionings of white supremacy, including complicity and collusion with a system that has kept Black, Brown, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, and bodies with disabilities down.
