About My Clients

I specialize in supporting individuals navigating aging and life transitions, as well as exploring and affirming LGBTQ+ identities. I believe you are the best expert on your own needs, and my role is to be a trusted guide -- helping you clarify what matters most, explore options, and take meaningful steps toward change. Together, we'll build on the resilience you already have while also developing practical tools and strategies to navigate challenges.

My Background and Approach

My approach is practical and solution-focused, helping clients identify strengths, clarify priorities, and find meaningful ways forward, while honoring the complexity of their lived experience. I combine decades of training and professional and lived experience to support individuals through life's challenges. I bring both expertise and genuine care to our work together, and am always guided by integrity and respect. I pursued my career as a therapist "later" in life, after years in unfulfilling work and doing the hard self-work of identifying my priorities and passions. Getting to know, understand, and support my clients is work I find deeply meaningful, and I bring curiosity, care, and compassion to each session.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in the inherent dignity and worth of every person, and in our collective responsibility to build a world rooted in equity, compassion, and justice. As a queer and transgender/non-binary person, I hold a deep commitment to advancing justice for LGBTQ+ communities while recognizing that true liberation requires addressing the interconnected struggles of all marginalized groups. I ground myself in the core values of social work -- service, social justice, the importance of human relationships, integrity, competence, and respect for dignity and self-determination. My guiding ethic is to help dismantle system of oppression and support individuals in finding their own paths toward healing, resilience, and liberation.
