Transitions can create disconnect and emotional distress. Our relationships may suffer, creating feelings of isolation and loneliness. Transitions can mark a change in identity, struggling to understand and define ourselves. The transition to parenthood can be especially hard. Burnout and stress can make it difficult to engage in daily life. New parents can carry guilt or shame as we struggle to fulfill the needs of those we love, leaving our own needs unmet. Therapy can help bring relief!
My Background and Approach
Compassionately and collaboratively we will work together to restore meaning, joy, and balance to your life. Providing space to process emotions in a nonjudgmental environment will alleviate distress. With attachment based approaches, greater connection to self and loved ones can be achieved, leaving you the person, partner, and parent you want to be. I use emotion focused approaches that offer clients a safe and compassionate space to process difficult feelings, allowing for greater understanding and ultimately deeper connections. By utilizing positive psychology and strength based practices, I believe every client already has the capacity to live full and meaningful lives, rich with relational happiness.
