About My Clients
I work primarily with adult women navigating trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, grief, and life transitions-especially those who are self-aware, have tried therapy before, and sense something deeper still needs attention. I also work with couples caught in recurring cycles of conflict or disconnection. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside while quietly feeling depleted or disconnected within.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, EMDR-trained therapist, Gottman Method-trained couples counselor, and Registered Yoga Teacher based in Lakewood, Ohio. My approach is genuinely integrative-I draw on EMDR, IFS-informed work, ACT, somatic awareness, mindfulness, narrative therapy, and nervous system regulation. These aren't techniques I layer on top of each other; they're woven together into a way of working that's responsive to you, your history, and the pace of your nervous system. I offer in-person sessions in Lakewood, telehealth across Ohio, and walking or nature-based sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing often needs more than one door in, and that the body holds as much wisdom as the mind. I practice without insurance intentionally. Not accepting insurance means our work is guided entirely by your healing-not by diagnostic codes, session limits, or third-party oversight. I provide superbills for clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement, and I hold a small number of reduced-fee spots for those who need them. I also believe that the therapeutic relationship itself is healing. Safety, presence, and genuine attunement aren't techniques-they're the foundation everything else is built on. My practice is informed by decades of personal healing, Buddhist psychology, yogic philosophy, and a deep respect for the wisdom each person carries into the room.
