About My Clients
At some point in our lives we all find ourselves feeling stuck, overwhelmed with the day to day, needing support. I believe that a stronger foundation - new skills, a new perspective, and evidenced based therapeutic interventions- can make a huge difference on how we navigate our worlds.
My Background and Approach
I am excited and honored to help clients who are working toward navigating life with a wide range of issues. These may include relationship issues, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and life stressors. I enjoy working working with other professionals navigating their working environments, juggling being a caregiver and also trying to find balance while combating compassion fatigue. I obtained my bachelor's degree and master's degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas. I began my career in the school setting, helping children gain emotional regulation skills, navigate the stress of high school, and gain skills to be prepared for college. I have many years of experience working with Special Education students, navigating IEP meetings and communicating with school officials. I enjoy working with students ages five through college aged. Currently, I am working within the hospital setting as an administrator helping families with grief and loss and chronic illness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a private pay practitioner, a diagnosis is not the focus of our sessions. Within the time we share, we will develop goals to move past barriers in life that are making you feel stuck, frustrated or prompting a change. My hope is that you leave each session feeling like you have more skills to create balance in your life, communicate better with your spouse or take a leap in your career that will propel you to success.
