About My Clients
Are you having difficulty setting boundaries in your relationships? Do you have a harsh inner critic that won’t let up? Are big life changes stressing you out? Are you using television, ice cream or other substances to cope? If your answer to any of these questions was "yes", then you're in the right place! I work with individuals, female-identified and/or non-binary teens, families, and couples who are struggling with anxiety, compulsive behaviors, life transitions, stress, and substance use.
My Background and Approach
My style of practice is collaborative and process-based, meaning we'll work with the behaviors, feelings and patterns you bring into the therapeutic relationship in real time. We’ll use therapy as a laboratory to explore what’s happening in your life, and what new tools or skills will work best to help you feel more able and empowered to handle challenges. We'll use the first three sessions as a trial period, giving us both the chance to see if we would work well together. I bring a warm energy to the therapeutic relationship to help you feel safe being vulnerable, while accompanying you into the territory of non-judgemental accountability. I truly believe you are the expert on yourself, and it is my job to help you build trust in your own abilities and eventually become your own therapist!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am dedicated to the ongoing cultivation and practice of cultural responsiveness, anti-racism, anti-ageism, anti-ableism, anti-sexism, body positivity, feminism, and lgbtq+ allyship. My pronouns are she/her/hers. In my free time I enjoy cooking, making art, riding my bicycle, and volunteering in San Francisco.
