Culturally sensitive therapy emphasizes the client’s background, ethnicity, and belief system. I incorporate cultural sensitivity into my work to accommodate and respect differences in opinions, values, and attitudes of various cultures and different types of clients. I use my cultural sensitivity to gain and maintain daily my cultural competence and ability it to recognize and understand clients' own culture and how it influences their emotional life.
Emotionally Focussed Therapy (EFT) emphasizes the importance of emotional engagement, secure attachment, and responsiveness in healthy relationships.
