About My Clients
I work with adults, with a particular passion for women navigating life changes, trauma, grief, chronic illness, pain, and challenging medical experiences. You may be used to caring for everyone else, questioning your needs, or feeling unheard. I welcome women across reproductive experiences, including pregnancy, motherhood, infertility, and choosing or being unable to have children. Together, we can make room for your story and help you reconnect with your voice, agency, and sense of self.
My Background and Approach
I'm an Associate Clinical Social Worker and Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) with more than 13 years of clinical experience, including five years specializing in the NICU. My background in healthcare and music therapy informs my work with medical trauma, chronic illness, pain, grief, and major life transitions. I have lived experience with complex chronic illness and a deep understanding of the challenges women face navigating a deeply flawed healthcare system. I bring an integrative, trauma-informed approach that may include somatic practices, mindfulness, music, imagery, ritual, and creative exploration, guided by your needs and preferences. I aim to offer a collaborative space where you can feel safe, understood, and more connected to yourself. I believe healing is not one-size-fits-all; we'll draw on your strengths, values, and own ways of making meaning.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe women deserve to be believed: about their bodies, pain, intuition, and lived experiences. Our struggles don't happen in a vacuum; culture, systems, and expectations shape our choices and how we're treated. I'm committed to social justice, disability justice, and LGBTQIA+ affirmation, and I bring a social work lens that considers the whole person within their relationships and larger world. I make room for grief in all its forms, from losing loved ones and beloved familiars to grieving communities and the world we wish we lived in. I'm drawn to the wisdom of nature, spirituality, ritual, symbolism, and intuition. You don't have to leave those parts of yourself at the door. I believe choosing yourself isn't selfish; sometimes it's the beginning of healing.
