About My Clients
Many of my clients are sober or sober curious and have done significant cognitive or behavioral work but still feel stuck in repeating patterns. They often describe knowing "why" they do something but not being able to change it in the moment. I work well with people who are insightful, motivated, and ready to explore how stress, trauma, and survival responses live in the body.
My Background and Approach
My work is grounded in somatic psychology, Somatic Experiencing principles, and Polyvagal-informed nervous system education. I integrate movement, body awareness, and pacing to help clients build capacity for safety, regulation, and choice. I offer both walking sessions and virtual sessions. Walking therapy can support regulation, bilateral stimulation, and more natural access to emotion and narrative. Virtual session are structured to remain experiential and body-oriented. Rather than focusing only on symptom reduction and behavior changes, we track nervous system patterns, survival responses, and body-based memory to support lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe symptoms are intelligent adaptations, not failures. The body is not the problem - it is often the roadmap. I believe sustainable recovery and healing happen when insight is paired with nervous system change. Stopping a behavior or substance does not automatically resolved the body patterns that shaped it. I value warmth, collaboration, and clinical clarity. Therapy should feel grounded, respectufl, and paced to your nervous system - not forced or overwhelming.
