About My Clients
I work with adults and adolescents navigating challenges related to trauma, chronic illness, relationship struggles, abuse, parenting, grief, and difficult life transitions. I also specialize in vicarious trauma and moral injury and work with many journalists, first responders, and other professionals who cope with high levels of stress in their careers
My Background and Approach
I’ve spent the last decade studying the top evidence-based trauma modalities including EMDR, IFS (Parts Work), CBT and Somatic Work (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy). My therapy style is active and collaborative; each step of the therapeutic process is tailored to meet your specific needs and goals. I have completed extensive post-masters training, including a two-year program in Trauma Studies from the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. I also have post-masters training in child and family therapy from NYU and the Ackerman Institute.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all have a natural tendency toward healing and an inner space of grounded, compassionate wisdom. Trauma blocks our ability to connect with that inner Self. As a therapist, my passion is helping you reconnect with your own internal resources and develop tools you can access no matter how stressful the outer world becomes.
