About My Clients
I work with adults struggling with feelings of overwhelm, stress & anxiety. Additionally, I work with individuals ready to begin healing their relationship with their body and food. If you are struggling with stress and anxiety, disordered eating and/or body image concerns, it would be an honor to guide you on your healing journey. I utilize integrative and somatic techniques including mindfulness, meditation, trauma informed yoga, creative movement and grounding.
My Background and Approach
I received my Masters of Education and Education Specialist degrees in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida in 2010. Here I obtained a Certificate in Spirituality & Health and Arts in Medicine. I hold the title of National Certified Counselor and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. In 2005, I become a certified yoga instructor. In 2015, I completed my 500 hour yoga teacher training and am a 500-level, Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) with the Yoga Alliance. I have additional certifications in Restorative Yoga & Trauma-Sensitive Yoga. In 2015, I became a Reiki Master. Beyond counseling and teaching, I am a published author and national speaker on the topics of body image, eating disorders and yoga.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Body Positive and Health At Every Size(HAES) Advocate as well as a Non-Diet Therapist specializing in Intuitive Eating.
