About My Clients
Do you need support advocating for your child or adult child's disability? Is your child's IEP hard for you to navigate? Does your child, teen or adult child have a disability such as Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Down Syndrome or Cerebral Palsy. I am a former Special Education teacher of 15 years and a therapist who specializes in disability, advocacy and adult play therapy.
My Background and Approach
My combination of degrees/experiences in recreation, special education and mental health counseling contribute to my unique style of connecting with my clients. I work side by side with my clients to assist them in reaching their full potential! My areas of expertise include: counseling people with disabilities, disability advocacy, IEP support, play therapy, sand tray therapy, de-escalation strategies, creating and monitoring goals, cognitive behavioral therapy, and developing a long-lasting, genuine relationship with my clients. I truly enjoy going above and beyond to meet the needs of my clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I personally believe that every person has something unique about them that makes them special. No two people are alike. I take the time to get to know you as a person beyond the labels. I am an active advocate for people living with a variety of disabilities.
